Plot Summary

Starring Hayley Atwell (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Eddie Cahill (CSI: NY) and Shawn Ashmore (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Conviction tells the story of Hayes Morrison (Atwell), the brilliant but rebellious daughter of a former President, who is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of New York's newly created Conviction Integrity Unit (CIU). Hayes soon discovers that she enjoys digging for the truth at the heart of these mysteries, as well as beating a broken system.

She, along with her team of lawyers, investigators and forensic experts, work together to examine cases where there's credible suspicion that the wrong person may have been convicted of a crime. With only fi ve days to come to a conclusion on each case, the team must question if the system failed, if jobs were done properly, if there was the possibility of a cover up and ultimately if justice was served.

Bold, outspoken, dedicated and opinionated, the CIU team doesn't always get along, but their clashes are nothing compared to what they deal with outside the unit. Facing opposition from cops, attorneys, medical examiners, scientists and judges, the team must question and challenge everything.

The compelling and fast-paced legal drama hails from writer Liz Friedman (House) who serves as Executive Producer alongside co-creator Liz Friedlander (The Following), Mark Gordon (Grey's Anatomy) and Nicholas Pepper (Quantico).
